Community-Oriented, Responsive Education

Calvin Park’s CORE program welcomes students as they transition to the intermediate grades from our local K-6 feeder schools (Centennial Public School, Lord Strathcona Public School and Polson Park Public School), as well as students who reside in our local neighbourhood. The dedicated staff at Calvin Park collaborate to create a dynamic and positive environment that promotes the academic, physical and personal growth of all students. As a result, students in the CORE program are offered many diverse learning opportunities as they study all subjects in the Ontario curriculum.

We are fortunate to have a dedicated Science lab and regular access to a variety of technology (e.g. Chromebooks, iPads) to support learning.

Students in our CORE program also receive instruction in Technology (i.e. cooking, sewing and woodworking) in Grade 7 & 8 and have access to the Music in Partnership program (instrumental music program option).

Students at Calvin Park Public School have the opportunity to participate in an extensive array of extra-curricular activities including:
-Intramural Sports
-School Leadership
-School Athletic Teams
-Lego Robotics
-Social Justice Clubs
...and much, much more!

Calvin Park is a wonderful place to learn, as well as prepare for success in secondary school and beyond!
