CALVIN PARK RECEIVES $10K GRANT FROM LLF
Last evening, our school received $10,000 from the Larry Gibson Estate to set up an industry-standard mobile recording studio to further enhance our Music program - within programs, across programs and across schools. Congratulations to Mr. Donaldson who was instrumental in putting the grant application together and will be leading this project next year. A shout out to Bianca and Harper joined us for the presentation. Well done Comets!
We will have a meeting Wednesday, May 16th, at morning break to discuss upcoming events, including working Track and Field day.

TRACK AND FIELD
The annual Calvin Park Track & Field Day takes place next Thursday May 17. Be ready for a day of outdoor fun and exercise! Training for triple jump will take place next Tuesday at noon, high jump training will be Wednesday at noon and shot put will take place Thursday at 8:30 am.
SAFE SPACES CLUB
Come pick up permission forms to stay after school Monday and Tuesday, next week. They are in Mrs. McDonald’s room.
Today is another off-property Friday. A reminder to all students that in order to leave school property you must have a Student ID card or an exit ticket from your homeroom teacher which will be handed out just before lunch. Only students with signed permission forms will receive a card or ticket.
Students leaving school with permission will be expected to bring their ID card, ticket or signed note to leave property today only, to meet Mr. Hedderson at 11:55 a.m. at the exit near the Calvin Park Science Lab.
Students should return to the school yard after eating their lunch off property. Please leave your backpack at school. Please DO NOT bring food back to school and please return by 12:55 p.m. Students who are late risk losing their off-property lunch privilege.
Teachers are asked to pick up ID cards and tickets from mailboxes.
