SAFE SPACES SUPPER CLUB
Anyone who is interested in finding out more information about the Safe Spaces Supper Club, should attend our lunch meeting next Friday, in Mrs. McDonald’s Room.
Frisbee clinic resumes today. Meet Mr Candela in the gym at 12:15 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Ultimate frisbee tryouts will start at the end of April.
SHOWCASE RECORDING STUDIO PROJECT
There will be a meeting today, at the start of lunch, in Mrs. McDonald's room, for all those involved in the Showcase Recording Project. Bring your lunch and come right away. Zane from North of Princess Recording Studio will be here to discuss upcoming recording logistics.
Congratulations to all the Mathletes who represented Calvin at the Math Olympics on Friday. Calvin brought home a second place in the competition and showed their persevereance throughout the day. Our Comets considered some tough problems, created cool solutions, collaborated and shared ideas! Let’s continue the fun one last time this Wednesday in Ms. Boyce’s room at 12:15. All students are welcome to join in .
Practice Tuesday and Thursday this week. Meet on the basketball court at 12:00 ready to take on the route!!
THe first touch football practice will be tomorrow night after school. Be prepared to practice both indoors and outdoors. Permission forms are available on the sports board and can be returned to Mr Raby or Mr Valberg.
LIMESTONE LEARNING FOUNDATION CRYSTAL CONCERT
Hey Comets, are you an inspiring singer? If so, then this invitation is for you!
You can audition to perform for Crystal Concert at the Grand, to be held this December 15 at Kingston’s Grand Theatre.
It’s easy to do, just come down to the office and pick up a flyer to take home to talk with your parents about auditioning.
What a great way to showcase all the talent at Calvin Park!
ATLAS FOR A DAY
A special welcome to Grade 6 students who will be at our school today for the ATLAS for a Day workshop. Good Luck!
A reminder that the football/soccer field is out of bounds at recess and lunch until further notice. Students are welcome to play in the end zones, but are asked to stay off the main portion of the field. This happens in April/early May every year. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
All members of the Calvin Park community are invited to wear jerseys to school on Thursday as a sign of solidarity and support for those affected by the recent tragedy involving the Humboldt Broncos Junior “A” Hockey Team. Schools across the Limestone district will be participating.
