BULLYING PREVENTION AND AWARENESS WEEK
This week is Bullying Prevention and Awareness week across the Province of Ontario.  The Limestone District School Board is committed to providing a healthy, supportive learning and working environment for our students and staff.  We know that students achieve their best when they feel safe, nurtured, welcomed, engaged, respected and included.
What is Bullying?
Bullying is defined by the Ministry of Education as “aggressive and typically repeated behavior by a student  where the behavior is intended by the student to have the effect of  causing harm, fear or distress to another individual, including physical, psychological, social, or academic harm, harm to the individual’s reputation or harm to the individual’s property, or  creating a negative environment at school for another individual...".
Your classes will be engage in conversations and activities that work toward bringing an awareness of the the affects of bullying.  On Thursday November 23 CALVIN PARK students are invited to wear a PINK shirt,  joining others across our school board in support of Bullying Prevention.  “In a world where you can be anything, BE KIND.”
